For many Indian students, going abroad for higher education is a dream and to achieve it they work hard.

Every year, more and more students are going to the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany for higher education. However, this journey comes with some challenges.

One major issue is student debt. Many students opt for loans to pay for their studies but struggle to find good jobs after graduation.

Some universities help students get jobs, but others fail to provide the same support. Lack of placement opportunities makes it hard for students to repay their loans and find stable work.

For example, a student who earned a master’s degree in fashion and textiles in the UK. He was really worried about the job market. Even though he was in a good program, he struggled to find a job that would help him pay off his loan. Many students say their job applications get filtered out by computers that reject names that sound Asian.

Without help from their universities, students often have to search for jobs on their own. This student took a loan of Rs 33 lakh and worked part-time while studying. Unfortunately, most of his earnings went to rent, leaving him with very little to put toward his loan repayments.

Many students also face rising costs for work sponsorships, which can go up while they are studying. Another challenge is the changing interest rates on loans. By the time students start repaying their loans, the interest can be much higher, making it even harder for them to manage their finances.

Many employers were reluctant to hire Indian students, expressing worries over cultural compatibility and skills.

Many have wasted their valuable time searching for jobs due to a lack of awareness and proper guidance.

Low hourly wages, high rentals, and living expenses, along with competition even for a part-time job in a coffee shop are a few factors that have become a major concern for students in

Studying in Canada, which was once an appealing destination for Indian students, now appears increasingly difficult with new regulations restricting work permit extensions.
